About The Positively Rheumatoid Arthritis Blog
Welcome to Positively Rheumatoid! I’ve created this rheumatoid arthritis blog for parents in their 30s and 40s, like me, who live with rheumatoid arthritis or other chronic illnesses. Life with RA is no walk in the park; however, I’ve found that laughter and connection can make a big difference. That’s why this blog exists—to bring joy, relatability, and community to those juggling parenting, chronic illness, and everything in between.
Understanding Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues. As a result, this causes inflammation, pain, and joint damage. Managing RA often requires medications, immune-suppressing drugs, and physical therapy. Additionally, balancing appointments, treatment plans, and family responsibilities can feel overwhelming.
Why I Started a Rheumatoid Arthritis Blog
Living with RA as a parent is challenging. On some days, I feel like I’m barely holding it together. Even so, that’s okay—because I know I’m not alone. For this reason, I wanted to create a space where we can laugh at life’s absurdities, share stories, and support each other. Whether it’s through relatable memes or encouraging blog posts, my goal is to make you feel seen, understood, and less alone.

A Real-Life Perspective: I share my experiences raising kids, managing a household, and navigating RA. It’s not always pretty; however, it’s always real.
